Club narrowly missed out on promotion from the Unibond League Division One South last season, but clinched the Sheffield and Hallamshire FA Senior Cup. Sheffield FC operations director Dave McCarthy said “We are really grateful to all our fans for their great support during the 150th anniversary and we wanted to give something back. “The celebrations have really helped put the club on the map. Through the exhibition games at Bramall Lane, more than 40,000 fans watched the team last season. “ “Also, the more fans we pull in on a matchdays the better the atmosphere. The fans have always encouraged the team and are a great confidence booster for the players.”
