Since the scheme was established in February 2005, the Oldest Club in the World, Sheffield FC, have developed close associations with FIFTEEN schools in the Sheffield area and provided in-school coaching for age groups from age 4 to 12. We have explained in assemblies at all schools the important role Sheffield FC played in the history of the beautiful game and helped to develop an interest in football by providing professional coaching that not only provides a platform for improving skills, but also gives opportunity to the young of Sheffield to learn about the game and to have fun at the same time. Children from 4 upwards have benefited from the co-ordination, agility and speed sessions undertaken by our qualified coaches.
