Tribute Club celebrate anniversary in style

Back in Autumn 2007, when Sheffield FC were celebrating our 150th anniversary, a group of Italian veteran players and supporters founded what can only be described as a “Tribute Club” – following the core values of the World’s First, Integrity, Respect and Community.

That club, Anni60-SheffieldFC participates in the Amatori Over 40 Genoa Girone B Championship, and they celebrated their tenth anniversary (not so coincidentally liking with our 160th) with a tribute to the English Founding Fathers of the 1800s.

Anni60 have adopted the heritage shirt as their kit this season, and as Club President Marco Galliano explained, thought they’d celebrate in a “special way”.

Last Sunday they took to the streets with a walk in full gear, complete with vintage caps and moustaches and their recently won trophy, much to the amazement of onlooking by-passers.

Naturally, in true SFC circa 1860 style, the day was concluded with a dinner party at the Restaurant Medusa.

A great story, and one we are proud to have inspired. Forza Anni60-Sheffield FC!!!
