Sheffield Weather Storm to Claim Valuable win at Home

Sheffield FC Ladies upset the formbook to record a 3-0 win against third placed Fylde, earning Calum Oakenfold's side a valuable three points in their bid for FA Women's National League survival this season.

Rhema Lord-Mears opened the scoring with a 25-yard screamer on 18 minutes, but Fylde piled on the pressure for the remainder of the first half, with Sheffield having to defend superbly to keep the Coasters at bay.

The result was in the balance for much of the second half, but two goals in three minutes sealed the points for Sheffield in the final quarter of the match: youngster Milly Wortley showed great composure in the box to beat the defender and slot home, before Lord-Mears bagged a second with a low driven shot into the bottom corner.
