Okay I've got a few questions for everyone.

What are the requirements to get into the Senior Cup, is this a cup for teams in the National League System around Sheffield?

How is the draw decided? I noticed that Sheffield are coming in at the 2nd round. Is this because we are seeded this way, or is it the luck of the draw?

Also, if we don't get to play Hallam FC in this cup, is Sheffield going to have a friendly this season between them and Hallam? Or is that not happening this year?

Sorry for being so naieve but I'm not too familiar with the Senior Cup other than Sheffield winning it 3 out of the last 4 seasons.

I'm not an expert on this but I think it is open to all the Sheffield & Hallamshire Association Senior Clubs. We got a bye in the first round because of the level we play at and no doubt cos of our recent track record in the cup.
If we win this round we would be straight into the quarter final so it is only three wins to reach next years final. However bearing in mind the other clubs left in the draw we have go one of the hardest draws possible in Stocksbridge so were certainly given no favours there. Perhaps the Association is getting fed up with us winning it?

So I'm guessing that the fully professional teams won't be able to play in it like Rotherham, United and Wednesday? Didn't they have their own cup?

I don't think it matters anyway with the loss to Stocksbridge 3-0 there goes the chance of playing Hallam. Thanks for the information anyway Rob.

3 cups gone, 2 to go.

First match I've missed this season. But having read the reports of the fog bound match it doesn't appear I missed anything other than, Micah Bleau played again and got the BTF man of the match award.

I thought Micah was excellent (what I saw of him through the fog!). Is he registered for Saturdays? Looks like he's up to the job...

So far I think he's only played in the Presidents Cup and the Sheffield and Hallamshire Cup, from what I'd heard he showed some promise in the Goole match earlier in the season in the Presidents.

And to win the BTF Man of the Match award is a good effort for the second gamer. I agree with you Billy, it looks like he could be a good addition to our defence.
