Mission Statement

Sheffield Football Club schools and Community coaching scheme is committed to providing high quality football and fitness coaching to local youngsters whatever their age, sex, religion or ability.

Our aim is to encourage children to enjoy playing and watching sport, especially football at all levels. The scheme is committed to equality and social inclusion, in a safe and friendly environment where children can enjoy physical activity.

Sheffield Football Club is focused on forging closer links with the Community and we strive to provide the highest quality of service.

About Us

Since the scheme was established in February 2005, the World’s First Football Club, Sheffield FC, have developed close associations with many schools in both mainstream and special educational needs schools in the Sheffield area and provided in-school coaching for age groups from age 4 to 16.

Football in the comunity training We offer talks to schools via assemblies to highlight the important role Sheffield FC played in the history of the beautiful game. We will encourage and develop an interest in football by providing professional coaching that not only provides a platform for improving skills, but also gives opportunities for young people of Sheffield to learn about the game and to have fun at the same time.

Children from 4 upwards have benefited from the co-ordination, agility and speed sessions undertaken by our qualified coaches.

We only employ fully qualified coaches who care passionately about the service they deliver – the sessions are as important to them as they are the children.
