Match Report
Sheffield made the long trip to Colwyn Bay knowing a win would put them in the play offs.
Pete Davey and Danny Haystead missed the game through injury whilst Manager McCarthy was also without the injured Tom Jones and decided to rest Asa Ingall.

Club started extremely well and penned Bay back into their own half but found home keeper Speare in excellent form as he tipped a Steve Hawes piledriver over the bar and was equal to efforts from Powell , twice and Jamie Smith. Club keeper Martin Kearney distinguished himself also with two top class saves from Black.

The second period was a little more even with Bay coming into the match bit the majority of the chances fell to Sheffield with Speare equal to everything that was thrown at him. He saved well at his near post twice from Powell, turned a Gary Townsend effort over the bar and reserved his best save of the night from Daz Winters 10 minutes before the end.

It has to be said this was an excellent game of football, played by two quality teams and you could not tell that both these teams had played 48 hours earlier.

Club now inch closer to a coveted play off spot.
